Associate of Science in Nursing Program Now at Cambridge College of Healthcare and Technology’s Orlando Campus

Cambridge College of Healthcare and Technology in Altamonte Springs, Fl is now offering an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program that has been approved by the Florida Board of Nursing, Commission on Independent Education and Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools. The program has two tracks of learning: Traditional (students who have limited medical knowledge) and Bridge (students who are licensed as an LPN, Paramedic or Respiratory Therapist). The ASN program will prepare students for a career as a Registered Nurse.

“We are so excited to see the addition of an ASN program to our already established Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at the Altamonte Springs campus,” said the Dean of Nursing, Dr. Pat Edwards, MN, EdD, RN. “With the increasing nursing shortage, this program allows us to support nursing as a whole while meeting the local demand for more well-trained and educated registered nurses in a shorter timeframe.”

The ASN program may be completed in 24 months for the Traditional and 20 months for the Bridge track. It focuses on providing students with the critical thinking and clinical judgment skills that provide safe and effective patient care. High fidelity simulation scenarios are used throughout the program to reinforce the knowledge and skills that are needed in the patient care environment.

The Cambridge College ASN program prepares graduates to pass the NCLEX-RN exam so licensure as a Registered Nurse may occur through a board of nursing.
