Welcome to the Radiation Therapy Training Program at Cambridge Health

In about two years, you can be fully trained to work in a healthcare facility as a professional Radiation Therapist.

The Cambridge Institute of Allied Health & Technology trains students with the knowledge and clinical skills they need to become competent, entry-level radiation therapists upon graduation and to pass the AART Registry Examination. This certified medical training program allows students to earn either a degree in two years or a certificate in a 20-month program.

This Certified Radiation Therapy Training Program Is Available At These Cambridge Campus Locations:

  • Delray Beach Campus – (Associate Degree Program for students currently ARRT certified) Cambridge Institute of Allied Health & Technology in Palm Beach County, Florida
  • Atlanta Campus – (20-Month Certificate Program) Cambridge Institute of Allied Health & Technology in Atlanta, Georgia

Our Radiation Therapy Training Program Offers:

  • Classroom learning lead by qualified, registered instructors.
  • Hands-on experience at clinical healthcare facilities.
  • Preparation for the ARRT Registry Examination.

What Does A Radiation Therapist Do?

Radiation Therapists administer, monitor and document treatments as prescribed by a radiation oncologist. Typically, Radiation Therapists have direct contact with cancer patients. Specific duties include:

  • Preparing therapy rooms
  • Understanding radiation safety measures
  • Monitoring and documenting radiation treatments
  • Positioning patients
  • Applying ionizing radiation
  • Communicating with and comforting patients
