Cambridge College Faculty & Students Work at St. Francis Table in Atlanta
Recently, Cambridge College of Healthcare & Technology faculty and students had the privilege of serving food to over 150 homeless men, women, and children in Atlanta, Georgia. The Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception operates a soup kitchen called St. Francis Table. In 1982, St. Francis Table opened its doors in response to a community need for feeding the hungry on Saturday. Currently, St. Francis Table feeds 300 to over 500 people every Saturday. The Cambridge Altamonte faculty got together on Thursday, April 18, 2019, to attend the IOA 5K – Orlando’s Largest Office Party. Faculty members from the ADN, PN, and RXT programs came together to participate in this wonderful team building experience. There were over 15,000 participants at this year’s IOA 5K and more than $19,000 was raised to benefit The Second Harvest Food Bank.
