After grabbing your coffee or tea, you’ll start your day by going to work. This may mean commuting to the local hospital, a doctor’s office, a clinic or even a long-term care facility. You have a ton of options when it comes to selecting a workplace.
Once you arrive, you may start your day by returning patient phone calls, preparing patient charts for the day or even scheduling appointments. Your day will then consist of performing patient care tasks such as giving injections, preparing patients for exams, comforting patients going through testing and more.
At the end of your day, you may spend some time billing insurances for payment or scheduling patients for testing and treatment. It’s important to note that the responsibilities you complete will depend on your specific role and employer.
