DMS Miami Receives Accreditation

The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (caahep.org) upon the recommendation of JRCDMS Committee on Accreditation has demonstrated Cambridge College of Healthcare and Technology’s Miami Campus program meets all the stringent standards set by the accrediting agency. Cambridge’s Miami campus was granted programmatic accreditation on September 16th, 2022 by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (caahep.org) upon the recommendation of JRCDMS Committee on Accreditation in 3 modalities, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Abdominal-Extended, and Adult Cardiac. With this accreditation, it provides students with the opportunity of taking their sonography board exams through either ARDMS or CCI prior to graduation. These exams are one of the educational goals to becoming a sonographer.

Accredited program graduates are well-prepared to sit for the exam and exhibit higher passing rates for becoming certified sonographers under the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. The students are ensured that the College under accreditation, maintain and promote quality standards for the DMS program consistent with the standards to effectively practice in their career.

The students are able to graduate as a registered sonographer in any of the modalities taught during the academic program gives students a huge advantage. Cambridge College’s Miami campus is proud of its students, faculty and staff for ensuring the quality of education meets the standards to have earned its accreditation.  CAAHEP is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
