Mrs. Burk since day one set the bar for all of us in her class and is always expecting us to be ready to go. She is always engaged in the material and makes it relatable and explains it in a way that makes sense to us. When it came to head to toe assessments, there were no easy shortcuts and nothing was given to us. Like Mrs. Burk would say, “assess, assess, assess, and patient safety.” We are fortunate to have her as an instructor and if you ever find yourself in her class, expect to nothing be given and to be pushed to the potential she knows you can reach even when you don’t.
