How Long Is Computer Networking School and Is It Hard?

Computer networkers spend their days operating, configuring and troubleshooting computer systems, mobile devices, software and hardware. If this sounds like a perfect career for you, you’ll need to attend a Computer Networking program.

Length Depends on Which Computer Networking Program You Choose

The length of time it takes to complete a Computer Networking program depends on the program type you choose. Currently, we offer three paths for students to take, including:

  • Computer Networking certificate
  • Associate of Science in Computer Networking
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Networking

The Computer Networking certificate program can be completed in 60 weeks. This is a great and quick way for students to get the skills required for entry-level positions.

Most students choose the Associate of Science in Computer Networking program which takes approximately two years to complete. In this program, you’ll receive a well-rounded education that includes general studies and in-depth networking classes.

If you want to enhance your career, you can choose to enroll in our Bachelor of Science in Computer Networking program which will take two additional years once you receive your Associate degree.

Certifications

Once you obtain your certificate or degree, you can then choose to become certified in your field which may take a few weeks to a few months. The certifications Cambridge prepares you for include:

  • CompTIA IT Fundamentals
  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • CompTIA Project+
