Cambridge Institute’s Successful Healthcare Career Fair at Orlando Campus

Cambridge Institute of Allied Health and Technology’s Career Services Leaders at its Altamonte Springs (Orlando), Florida campus held a major Employer Job Fair on Friday, March 3rd for its current students and graduates. What a turnout and experience for the students and employers. It was a great success! Cambridge’s Director of Career Services was quoted as saying, “this is something that we have wanted to do for some time.” It took a great deal of planning and organization by our team.

There were over 20 Top Employers that attended the action-filled event, including the following employer partners that were in attendance: Florida Hospital, the United States Army, Lake Bennett Health & Rehab, Academy Physicians, ORMC, Neuro Restorative, Village on the Green, One Blood, Westminster Towers, Caring Home Care, Centracare, Wellness Advocate, Caring First, Children’s’ First, Guardian Care Nursing & Rehab, Serendipity Loving Care, CSI Caregivers, PSA Health Care, and Mary Kay.

We had standing room only with a full house and received excellent feedback from both the employers and the graduates. Several private interviews were held that day and several job offers were made on the spot! We also had some great networking for our new programs, which includes the Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Radiologic Technology programs for potential affiliation agreements.

Below are just a few of the feedback received from some of the employers:

“I wanted to extend a congratulations on your 1st Cambridge Job Fair!  Thank you for allowing us to be a part of the event.  We really enjoyed meeting so many graduates and current students.  They were well prepared and professional and we hope to work with several of them moving forward.”
—Shelly Guppy, Recruiter Florida Hospital

—Adria Mussan, Lake Bennett Health and Rehab

“I interviewed 2 that I will be bringing on board, I look forward to coming to future job fairs and being a part of our advisory board.”
