Cambridge College of Healthcare & Technology Hosts Dynamic Career Fair with HCA Healthcare — Opening Doors, Changing Lives

Hosted by: Ms. Jocelyn Wallace, MSHRM, Director of Career Services—Miami Campus

A Career Event That Set Us Apart

Cambridge College of Healthcare & Technology Miami campus recently buzzed with energy, excitement, and opportunity. That day, we didn’t just host a career fair — we created a gateway for students to step directly into the future they’ve been working so hard to build.

In partnership with HCA Healthcare, one of the largest and most respected healthcare systems in the U.S. and U.K., this event opened real pathways for our students and alumni. With 186 hospitals and over 2,400 sites of care, HCA’s reach is unmatched — and now, so is their connection with Cambridge.

Building a Partnership That Changes Lives

Cambridge has had the privilege of working closely with Steven Mickholtzick, HCA’s Division Director of Talent Acquisition. Thanks to Steven’s commitment and Cambridge’s ongoing conversations, we were able to bring a powerful recruitment team — including Lead Recruiter Zoe and Associate Recruiter Elsa — right into the heart of our Miami campus.

More Than a Career Fair — A Life-Changing Day

This wasn’t your typical job fair. HCA recruiters conducted on-the-spot interviews with recent NA graduates, alumni, and current PN and ASN students. They took the time to listen to our students’ goals, offer advice, and most importantly, show our future healthcare heroes that they’re not just wanted — they’re needed.

What made this day truly special was HCA’s deep dive into the Cambridge experience. They toured our state-of-the-art DMS, Nursing Simulation, Radiology, and Medical Assistant labs. They met our faculty, felt the passion in our hallways, and saw firsthand the dedication behind every student journey.

The Cambridge Difference — Recognized and Respected

One moment I’ll never forget came during a conversation between Steven and our DMS Program Dean, Jorge Valdes. Steven asked, “Your Ultrasound program is huge. How do we hire more of your students? How do we get them into positions with us earlier?” Without missing a beat, Jorge replied, “How many students can we give you?”

That’s the Cambridge spirit. We prepare our students not just to graduate — but to lead.

Steven’s response said it all:

“You guys have a great thing here. You’ve truly covered all the bases… When Cambridge students walk into our facilities, they’re professional, prepared, and ready to work. Seeing ‘Cambridge’ on a resume means quality.”

Career Closet & Campus Culture

Cambridge also had the opportunity to show off something close to our hearts: our Career Closet — a resource full of new and gently worn professional clothing for students in need. With racks built by our own Campus President, the Closet ensures that no student is ever held back because of what they don’t have. That’s what Cambridge is about — supporting our students every step of the way.

Looking Ahead — Graduation, Growth & Gratitude

As we wrapped up the day, we took a leap and asked Steven to be our graduation keynote speaker. His answer?

“I would be honored.”

We are more than proud of the work our faculty and staff do daily — and now, to have that work validated by an industry leader like HCA is beyond rewarding.Cambridge students continue to be recruited by top-rated hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living centers across the region. Why? Because they’re ready. Because they’re trained. Because they are Cambridge.
