The two-year program takes a hybrid approach to learning, including:

  • Classroom instruction: In-class instruction forms the foundation for the ASN in Radiologic Technology program. Learning from experienced and committed instructors, students gain the knowledge and insight needed to understand medical terminology, imaging best practices and much more. The program’s curriculum meets the guidelines of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), ensuring that students are prepared to pass ARRT exams following completion of the program.
  • Online courses: Specific courses throughout the program are offered online via the college’s distance learning platform. The break from the classroom helps students continue learning while balancing work, life and personal commitments.
  • Hands-on training: Cambridge College maintains a cutting-edge technology center to give students hands-on learning opportunities. With access to the latest in x-ray imaging technology, students learn how to operate and maintain the equipment they’ll use throughout their careers.
  • Clinical externships: Experience within a real-world healthcare setting is the most effective way to master newly gained knowledge and skills. With that in mind, Cambridge College partners with many Palm Beach-area healthcare facilities to provide externship programs for students. These required externships give students the opportunity to better prepare for the transition from their education to their careers.
Preparing Students for Long-Term Success in Radiologic Technology Careers

The AS in Radiologic Technology has been carefully designed to help students gain the skills and knowledge needed to:

  • Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients and family members
  • Understand and follow imaging requests from care teams
  • Position patients for safe and accurate imaging procedures
