Health Information Technology Associate Degree

What You’ll Learn

The Health Information Technology program covers a wide range of healthcare IT topics, including:

Health Information Systems

Covering electronic medical records (EMRs) and other critical health information systems, you’ll learn how these systems operate and how to protect patient data inside them.

Health Data Content and Structure

You’l learn the systems and processes used for collecting, maintaining and analyzing patient health data, including registries, forms and health records.

Medical Terminology & Critical Anatomy

To ensure you understand patient medical conditions and diagnose for accurate records, you’ll learn basic medical terminology and anatomy. A virtual lab practicum is also included, allowing you to practice what you’ve learned.

ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS

This program also covers ICD-10 and CPT/HCPS coding procedures to make sure you’re properly entering codes for recording and insurance purposes.
