Physical therapist assistants are in high demand across the country. Cambridge College of Healthcare & Technology offers our complete Physical Therapist Assistant program to students ready to take advantage of the growth.
We created our program to include the necessary education and hands-on training students need to be successful in their careers. The Physical Therapist Assistant program adheres to the guidelines of the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.
This 2-year program includes many different topics of study:
- Anatomy and physiology
- Health science
- Medical terminology
- PTA techniques
- Growth and development
Throughout this 2-year program, students learn how to direct patient care, record responses to treatment, conduct exercises with patients and assist in traction and ultrasound treatment. They’ll learn how to help rehabilitate patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. Physical therapist assistants gain the knowledge needed to work in hospitals, nursing care facilities, school systems and more.
Our Physical Therapist Assistant program aligns with the guidelines set by the necessary certification organizations. Students receive the preparation they need to pass the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for licensing and entry-level employment as a physical therapist assistant.
