Why do I need General Education courses to be a Radiographer

A female radiographer is looking at an xray

Awesome question! Besides general education courses being a necessary requirement to earn a degree, these courses establish the basic foundation of knowledge that you will need to be successful in the core x-ray courses and in your profession as a technologist. Skills such as written and oral communication, critical-thinking and problem solving, and interpersonal communication are learned skills that are taught in general education courses.

Think about this; we communicate with people everyday, however the interpersonal skills required in health care must take into account cultural diversity, ethics and law, and age-specific approaches that are unique to patient care environments. English, psychology, and even college algebra train your brain to analyze these scenarios differently. These courses are essential applications for any profession.
