At Cambridge College of Healthcare & Technology, we have a big announcement. We’re opening a brand new diagnostic medical sonography program at our Miami campus. Previously only offered at our Atlanta, Orlando and Palm Beach campuses, the new program will help students in the Miami area graduate with associate’s degree in diagnostic medical sonography. More importantly, it will give them an opportunity to learn key knowledge they’ll need to land jobs in the field.
A New Option for Ultrasound Technician School in Miami, Florida
Why is having a new opportunity so important? Because unlike at bigger schools, you won’t be just a number at Cambridge. Instead, you’ll get individual attention from registered instructors. We’ll work closely with you to make sure you get the information you need for your diagnostic medical sonography career.
From helping expectant parents hear their baby’s heartbeat for the first time to giving your medical team the information they need to put a patient on the road to recovery, you’ll be ready for an important career in the medical field.
About Our Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program
Our Associate of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography program gives students in-depth training, as well as the chance to gain experience in the real world during clinical rotations at Miami-area medical facilities. These include hospitals, imaging facilities and doctor’s offices.
You’ll learn on the same up-to-date medical equipment that these facilities are using, so you’ll have the experience that sets you apart in the field—giving you an edge when applying for jobs.
We teach students how to maintain and use many different types of equipment, including:
- Echocardiography: Cardiac sonographers use echocardiograms to investigate the action of the heart.
- OBGYN sonography: Sonograms help a care team ensure that an unborn baby is healthy.
- Vascular sonography: Vascular sonograms use ultrasound technology to generate images of blood vessels, which can help their care team diagnose and treat a full range of health concerns.
- Abdominal sonography: Abdominal sonograms look at the organs in a patient’s abdomen. These include the liver, kidneys, spleen, appendix and pancreas.
You’ll also learn about the medical field, anatomy and physiology and medical terminology, among other important information.
