Diagnostic Medical Sonography Associate of Science Degree Program – Cambridge College of Healthcare & Technology – Atlanta, Georgia Campus

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography program in Atlanta announces the first graduating cohort for the Associate of Science degree program. The two-year program was launched in September of 2014 with 21 students. Students learned three distinct ultrasound modalities: Abdomen, OBGYN and Echocardiography. Their journey took the students through 1,290 didactic hours and 1,088 clinical hours, including 4 clinical semester rotations. Of the 21 students who started the program in September 2014, we are proud to acknowledge the 18 graduates who successfully completed the program.

Graduating from Cambridge College with an Associate degree and entry level sonography skills in Abdomen, OBGYN and Echocardiography will enable the graduates to present themselves to employers with multiple modality offerings. In addition, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Sonography is one of the 30th fastest growing careers in the market place.

Both graduates and current students in the program are anxiously awaiting the anticipated announcement for CAAHEP programmatic accreditation by the end of the month.
