Cambridge College Faculty & Students Work at St. Francis Table in Atlanta

Recently, Cambridge College of Healthcare & Technology faculty and students had the privilege of serving food to over 150 homeless men, women, and children in Atlanta, Georgia. The Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception operates a soup kitchen called St. Francis Table. In 1982, St. Francis Table opened its doors in response to a community need for feeding the hungry on Saturday. Currently, St. Francis Table feeds 300 to over 500 people every Saturday.

The Cambridge team and students were humbled and honored to attend. Guests were served coffee, sweet tea, bread, soup, and dessert until they were content. Many asked for multiple helpings and – with the complete support and assistance of the volunteers – take-home container of extra food for later.

It was a privilege to go into the community and to serve those who are in need. Thank you all for serving.
