Cambridge Graduation

Cambridge Institute’s 2019 Graduation

Cambridge Institute’s campus in Altamonte Springs, Florida had its 2019 Graduation in Winter Park on Thursday, September 12th. It was a significant graduation with over 130 graduates in attendance. Cambridge’s faculty and staff were all in attendance. Cambridge’s Career Services provide all the planning and coordinating as it takes many months to create a smooth and respectful running event. This was our first graduating class for our Radiologic Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Medical Billing & Coding programs.

The Nursing Pinning Ceremony followed the graduation, where almost 90 nurses from Cambridge’s nursing programs were pinned. The students also took the Florence Nightingale Pledge. The Winter Park, Florida ROTC performed the colors during the National Anthem.

Cambridge’s Keynote speaker for the evening was City of Longwood Mayor Matt Morgan who provided an inspirational speech to Cambridge’s graduates. The Mayor was a former WWE Wrestler for 14 years as well as an American Gladiator. He stands 7′ feet tall and weighs 310 pounds. He spoke to the students about the difference they will make in the field of touching people’s lives and how they have a career, not just a job. Cambridge provided a fun PowerPoint photos presentation played for the families of their favorite graduate’s memories of the year. The evening went very smoothly and the graduates really enjoyed their night of success. There were tears of joy after many months and years of studying to get to this point.
