The x-ray technician training program at the Orlando medical school is designed to provide career skills necessary to facilitate the process of limited x-ray procedures. Upon completion of this xray certification program, the motivated learner will be able to sit for the Basic Machine Operator licensure exam in the state of Florida. Licensed BMOs (Basic Machine Operators) find employment opportunities in physician's offices; outpatient medical facilities, hospitals, or other related healthcare settings. Our program not only provides the training to perform x-ray functions, but diversifies the skill sets to include other medical processes expected of healthcare staff. Students learn skills related to rooming patients, performing basic x ray diagnostic testing, and other front office procedures. Specific course objectives include the following areas: patient care, radiation protection, patient positioning, radiographic equipment & accessories, image production and evaluation. Upon graduation from the Orlando medical training college, students are eligible to make application to take the State of Florida Basic X-ray Machine Operator Certification Examination.
