Cambridge Institute of Allied Health & Technology's School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography provides students with comprehensive knowledge and skills, as well as the opportunity to experience clinical rotations with prestigious medical facilities.  Large in-house ultrasound laboratories are available for laboratory training. Our medical college ultrasound machines are capable of performing general and specialized procedures. Mission Statement

The mission of the sonography training programs is to provide a comprehensive education that will prepare students to become sonographers. The sonography course is structured to provide intellectual stimulation and learning in the didactic and clinical settings using psychomotor, affective and cognitive domains which is necessary to prepare students to assume the responsibilities of a sonographer believes that providing patient care and to contribute to their profession by a commitment to professional organizations and lifelong learning are the foundation of the sonography profession and are realized through commitment to the education of sonographers in the community.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography:

  • Uses high frequency sound waves (ultrasound) to produce dynamic visual images of organs, tissues and blood flow inside the body.
  • Examines many parts of the body, such as the abdomen, breasts, female reproductive system, prostate, heart, and blood vessels.
  • Is increasingly being used in the detection of heart disease, heart attack, and vascular disease that can lead to heart attack and stroke.
  • Is a radiation-free imaging modality.
