What Does A Phlebotomy Technician Do?
Typically the Phlebotomy Technician works directly with patients, reporting results to doctors, nurses and other medical professionals by performing the following duties:
- Drawing blood from patients
- Patient evaluation
- Venipuncture procedures
- Performing basic point of care testing
- Checking blood glucose levels
- Preparing blood, urine and other bodily fluids for testing
- Reporting results to doctors and medical offices

Our phlebotomy program consists of 11 weeks and 220 clock hours, blending classroom lectures administered by industry-leading experts and hands-on clinical rotations that utilize the most technologically advanced equipment being used in current, real-life settings.
