What Does A Medical Assistant Do?
Under the direct supervision of physicians, medical assistants are generally responsible for the following duties:
- Scheduling and greeting patients
- Paperwork and basic billings
- Preparing patients for exams
- Performing basic medical procedures
A Hands-on Approach to Medical Training
At the Cambridge Institute of Allied Health & Technology you’ll be trained to perform clinical procedures that include: anatomy and physiology, medication administration, phlebotomy and clinical laboratory skills, injections, EKG, assisting with minor surgical procedures, phlebotomy and lab procedures in a physician's office, outpatient medical facility, hospital and other related healthcare settings.
