Welcome to the Nursing Assistant Program at Cambridge Health
In less than two months, you can be working in a healthcare facility as a professional Nursing Assistant.
The Cambridge Institute of Allied Health & Technology prepares students to work as a basic Nursing Assistant in a long-term care facility, hospital or related healthcare setting. Students will also be prepared to take and pass the Florida Nursing Assistant certification examination.

Our Nursing Assistant Program Offers:
- Classroom learning lead by qualified, registered instructors.
- Hands-on experience at clinical laboratories.
- 40-hour externship in a long-term care facility.
What Does A Nursing Assistant Do?
Nursing Assistants work closely with patients and doctors in providing day-to-day services and basic patient care with duties that include:
- Preparing patients for exams
- Checking patient vitals
- Administering medicine
- Reporting medical conditions to the doctor
- Performing basic medical procedures
- Providing on-going patient care

Nursing Assistant Certification
Upon course completing, students are prepared with the necessary experience and knowledge to obtain their license and become a qualified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
This program curriculum covers the following: patient care, nutritional needs, safety and comfort measures, competency in personal patient care, infection control, and assisting with rehabilitative activities.
Overall employment of Nursing Assistants and Aides is projected to grow 18% between 2008 and 2018, faster than the average for all occupations.
