Specific course objectives: demonstrate knowledge of patient care, nutritional needs, safety and comfort measures, and competency in providing personal patient care, applying infection control principles, and assisting with rehabilitative activities. A 40- hour externship in a long- term care facility is required for program completion.

Certified Nursing Assistant Schools

Our medical school offers class room training in all of the areas of patient care prescribed for Nursing Assistants. Students of the program learn the 21 stations and test for competency in each area in order to achieve success in examination for licensure. The clinical component is an opportunity for students to practice their skills in nursing homes, geriatric facilities and other healthcare settings where nursing assistants would typically be employed.

Our team of healthcare professionals provide the necessary training for success in patient care through hands on experiences and the personal attention students need to succeed.
